VICE CHAIRMAN
I live in cedars park with my wife and our two children. I am an avid football fan and enjoy taking my daughter to matches; we're both season ticket holders. Professionally, I'm the lead manager in the vibrant world of retail for Sainsburys, where I thrive on steering teams toward success. Balancing civic duty, family time, and retail leadership keeps life interesting!

I moved to Suffolk over 20 years ago to be with family where I have predominantly lived on Cedars Park for 20 of those years.
I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 25 years and operate a bar/catering company over multi venues across Suffolk.
I have been involved with Cedars Park Community Centre since it opened in 2013.

Colin Lay
BOARD MEMBER
As a long-term resident of Stowmarket, I have been deeply involved in the community for over 30 years. Throughout this time, I have proudly served as a trustee for various organisations, dedicating my time and efforts towards making a positive impact in our town.
One area that holds great significance to me is the environment. As a keen volunteer with local environmental groups, I have witnessed firsthand the importance of preserving and protecting our natural surroundings. Through my involvement, I have gained valuable knowledge and experience in sustainable practices and initiatives.
I am excited about the opportunity to bring my expertise in the voluntary and charitable sector to benefit the residents of Cedars Park. I strongly believe that through collaborative efforts and utilising available resources, we can create a thriving community that prioritises social responsibility and promotes progress for all.
-
Michelle Baker
BOARD MEMBER
I moved to Suffolk almost 30 years ago when I got married. My husband, son and I lived in Needham Market for the first 9 years, before moving to Stowmarket in 2003.
I worked within Early Years childcare settings in the local area whilst studying Early Childhood and Education. I owned and managed two Early Years settings in Stowmarket for a total of 16 years.
I opened Cedars Park Preschool within the centre when it opened in 2013 and supported children and their families from the local area, until the preschool closed in July 2021.
I have devoted much of my adult life to care, education and support of children and their families, and believe that my experience and commitment can help them to remain a central focus at the heart of Cedars Park.
